Kaoru is a signature Sencha of Shirakawa-cha, created through traditional craftsmanship.
Kaoru was developed by 17 tea masters and 10 tea factories over three years, inspired by the traditional character of Shirakawa-cha.
After harvesting, the tea leaves are carefully withered indoors for about 15 hours before steaming. During this process, the leaves are carefully monitored and turned as their distinctive aroma develops.
Kaoru has a refreshing floral and fruity aroma, with a smooth, mildly sweet taste and a lingering fragrance.
For one time, you can enjoy a second or third steeping.
